Money Wednesday 23 nd July

I have been learning about money. I created a shopping list showing food items and how much they cost.  I am proud of my shopping list because it’s fun. Something i found quite challenging was finding the prices. Next time i might try make the prices lower. My tips about my list were to not forget beans.

Monday 21 st July

We went to the Waitara Fire station .  We have  been  learning about Fire safety.  Kereru and  Tui had a hikoi to the Waitara  Fire Station.  I  was in a smoke house  it  wasn’t on fire.    Also I  was in  a fire engine. I know how to be responsible around matches, lighters and fire.

Next time  I would  like  to turn on the fire siren.

My tips for others  is to get down, get low, and get out.

Puke Ariki Visit

On Thursday the 5th June we went to the museum and Library with my Dad.  At the library we designed Tukutuku  patterns. Then we went to the museum, we looked at eel and bird traps .  We also looked at Maori pa sites. My favourite part was when we looked at trapping the animals. We got to explore at the end, my group looked at the boat and the bat cave. Then we went back to school on the bus.
